Crankshaft Repair

The rotation of the crankshaft is responsible for moving the chain, which in turn is what sets the wheels going. So obviously, it’s a crucial part of the machine. When it’s broken, it won’t turn properly and so the motorcycle won’t move. With Kustom Kraft, the crankshaft is cared for with all the skills that trained experts can provide. We will disassemble the crankshaft carefully, and then inspect it closely to check that everything is fine. We will then clean the components thoroughly. We will also install a new rod pin and a new big end bearing to replace the components that may have already gone through too much wear and tear. The crankshaft will be balanced (called “trued” in industry parlance) with the New ProX rod kit. This kit includes the top and bottom end bearings, the connecting rod, the crank pin, and the thrust washers. Now you may want to remove the crankshaft from the engine yourself. When you do this, you need to be careful. You have to make sure that you don’t damage the centers on each end of the crankshaft. Those centers are quite delicate. With Kustom Kraft, you know that your cylinder and crankshaft are in good hands! View more about Crankshaft Rebuilding.
